I’m a writer, editor and creative leader in Charlotte. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2009 and started working at The Charlotte Observer soon after, first as a sports reporter and later as the editor of CharlotteFive.

I am currently the director of digital content at Compass Group,  the world’s largest foodservice and support services company, where I leverage my passion for storytelling to help our brands grow. I lead a team of videographers, email marketers and digital designers.

By night, I’m the cohost of Mint City Soccer Show, a podcast covering Charlotte’s new Major League Soccer team. I also freelance for various publications and am always looking for new stories to tell. Have a pitch? Hit me up.

In two years as editor of CharlotteFive, a digital publication geared toward young professionals, I grew newsletter readership from 2,000 to more than 20,000 subscribers and managed a website that attracted nearly 1 million page views per month. I also helped launch CharlotteFive Podcast, which I co-hosted for nearly two years.

Before CharlotteFive I spent six years as a sports reporter for the Charlotte Observer, covering everything from high school football to NASCAR.
